Welcome to The Lake District Walker our company is based in Cockermouth, near Keswick, in the north western Lake District, Cumbria.
The Lake District Walker offers affordable, fun days out for everyone with at least one walk a day every day of the year.
We organise, guided walks, walking groups, individual private hire, corporate days, charity fundraising, rock climbing, 3 Peaks Challenge and much, much more.

There are many reasons for choosing our guided walks: you may never have climbed a mountain before, would like to get to know your surroundings better, or want to advance your mountain skills - or you may simply want company.

Our instructors carry out a regular and varied programme of popular fell walking routes including Wordsworth's Grasmere, Scafell Pike, Helvellyn via Striding Edge and Haystacks, a favourite of Wainwright.

We have added a new event to the diary for the year ahead, two days of walking the best edge walks in England. With one day climbing Helvellyn by Striding Edge and descending over Swirral Edge, while on the seond day we climb Blencathra by Halls Fell and then Sharp Edge.| New Website |

| New for 2010 |
As you can see from the new website 2010 is going to be a busy year for us at The Lake District Walker, we have several new events taking place and some old favourites returning.
We are particularly looking forward to our Three Peaks Challenge events, with both 24 hour challenges and a more sedate three day event.
Other additions to the programme include the Yorkshire Three Peaks and the High Street Roman Road March, walking the length of the Roman Road from Penrith to Ambleside along the High Street ridge.
